The Upper:

• The upper material was still a Teijin synthetic, similar to what was used on the last few models
• This is the exclusive 15th anniversary Special Edition, designed to look like the original 1998 R9 Mercurial
  
• The upper uses a similar cosmetic design to the originals, using a metallic silver, volt, and blue colorway
• Limited to 1998 pairs, this is pair number 0025/1998, as indicated on the heel, see pics

The Sole Plate:

• Nike continued from the previous model using only 2 studs in the back, a feature that was only used on the Vapor VIII and Vapor IX models
• The same glass fiber material and pattern was used from the previous model as well

Notes and Comments:

• An incredible remake from 2013 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Mercurial, produced in limited quantities
  
• The upper uses an almost identical look to the original 1998 R9, but uses modern day materials and colors, equipped with that beautiful glass fiber sole plate
