his is an install in a Model Y 2024. The cooler works, keeps things cold, holds more than you'd think it would, but it was very difficult to install in sections, as the very poor instructions stated. It was impossible to push the top unit back far enough to line up well with the bottom of the cooler and not damage the foam gasket. Also, couldn't get the pins to lock the two piece together doing it this way. Ended up putting the two pieces together first and then carefully forcing it down into place as one piece. I was fortunate that I didn't damage the car doing this. There is nothing in the box that tells you what app to download. Found on the internet to download the Temai App BUT it is only for iPhone, I have an Android. The cooler comes set to Celsius so I had to have my son use his iPhone for the app and change it to Fahrenheit for me. It works good enough without the app to be able to change the temperature with the knob. So it's still usable without the app just missing some features, I'm sure. There is no way to access any features with the knob other than temperature and power, that I've been able to find. I gave it three stars for the difficulty of install, the poor directions and not being able to install the app on my Android. Also, I have realized that it makes the rear 12 volt plug unusable for anything else you might want to plug in. It would be nice if they had an extension on the front of the cooler near the knob where you can plug something else in without having to remove the cooler. Because of this, I'm still deciding whether or not to keep it. It has come in handy after a small grocery run for refrigerated items and keeps bottles of water cold in the car at all times. I did get it on sale, if I would have paid full price I would probably be returning it. It's a nice idea, it stays out of the way but there are many other 12 volt refrigerated coolers out there that cost much less and would fit more inside. And you could easily use them in another car or take with you at your destination like to a park picnic table. I've only had it a week so I'll update my review if anything changes.
