The Upper:

• Adidas designed a new synthetic upper material with their "ControlSkin" tech
• The ControlSkin featured dozens of little dimples throughout the upper and several grooves near the outsides of the toe box, very similar to a Pred like look
• A dynamic "high top" sock collar was used for a locked in fit, using a stretch mesh like material
• The 17+ model features a slip on system instead of the traditional laces, the sock collar provides a secure, tight fit

The Sole Plate:

• The sole plate used the sprintframe design, the same material used on the Adizero
• A circular stud pattern with three spine like featured near the midfoot were used

Notes and Comments:

• The Ace had a nice texture to the upper for added power and grip, similar to some characteristics the Predator would have
• The sole plate was very lightweight and flexible, a timeless SprintFrame design, similar to what was used on the Adizero
