The Upper:

• The fourth gen Adizero featured the same leather material, called the Goleo calf skin
• This leather was, and probably still is, the lightest leather upper that still gives you a true leather feel
• Adidas changed the stitching pattern, incorporating a diamond pattern near the toe box
• This diamond pattern design was a spec that was requested by Messi on many of his previous models
• A slightly wider and more supported sock liner/ heel cup design was made to help with a more secure fit

The Sole Plate:

• The same exact sole plate from the first generation Adizero model was used, a one piece ultra lightweight design
• The middle of the plate featured 3 spine like elements for extra stability near the arch
• The stud configuration used slightly rounded triangular studs for maximum traction

Notes and Comments:

• These F50 leather Adizeros were definitely taken for granted when they were made, today they remain as the ultimate speed boot with a leather feel
• Over the past 6 or 7 years, no other speed boot has even come close to this lightweight feel with extreme comfort and that quality leather feel
• Both before and after this model, Messi continued with this diamond stitching pattern near the toe box on many of his pairs
• This model is the closest retail version made in comparison to what Messi actually wore
